New 2008 Signature Call
Introducing the new model for 2008. The call on the left is made from Figured Black Walnut. The barrel features a wood duck in flight, an oak branch bordered oval shape filled with the carved fish scale pattern. Additional branches with oak leaves with acorns are coming off of the oval and filling the rest of the barrel. The top of the barrel has a stippled band. The stopper has some overlapping oak leaves, a band of fish scale and the top is stippled.
"Dear Jim:"
"The first time I saw one of your calls I was amazed at the craftsmanship that was displayed. I think what sets you apart from the rest of the call makers is your unique style of embellishments."
"Your fish-scale pattern is unlike anything being crafted today. Your call is a magnet to the eye...you have to pick it up...hold it in your hands...and slowly rotate it around, in awe of the precision of the scales' spacing and the beauty it evokes."
"With your 1st place victory at the NWTF Duck Call Contest in Charlotte, NC you have established yourself as one of the top callmakers
in the country. Congratulations," Bill Orgain, Collector, President of Call Makers & Collectors Assoc. 2005-2006

About Quackcalls.Quackcalls started making fancy carved calls in late 2000. The first calls were introduced at the Callmakers & Collectors Association contest in St Charles, IL in April 2001. Since that introduction, Quackcalls Original Signature Carved calls have won several national awards, including NWTF Best of Show and the CCAA Best of Show.
